Do you have a scared space?
It doesn’t have to be a whole room. It can be a corner if need be. I encourage you to look into building a sacred space for yourself. This is where to begin your inner journey. Self-love work is more than reposting great quotes and highlighting phrases in books. It’s taking your shoes off, sitting with yourself, and getting to know her or him.
A place to remember who you are. A place to lay down your worries. A place where you feel safe. A place where you express what you want and what you want to get rid of. A place where you communicate with Source (God).
Just as we find outlets to charge our dying phones; WE NEED A PLACE TO CHARGE OUT EXHAUSTED SOULS. We are ALL tired. Running ourselves ragged with the weight of the gifts we are given, while trying to pay bills, balance our families, our roles in society, and more. It’s a lot. I give you permission to let out a HUGE SIGH.
Where do I begin Miss Wilde? Well first – pick a space, a room, an area. This needs to a place of limited to no foot traffic. This needs to be a place where you can remove your shoes, sit and lay in comfort and peace. (No, not your bed).
Start with a small table, a small rug, and a photo of yourself that makes you smile. It can be a baby picture or a most recent photo that reminds you of the bad a** you are. Little by little you’ll create your space. Remember, there is no wrong way to do this. This small table should ONLY have things that remind you of good, safe spaces, joyful memories.
